Episode Twelve of the 1979 season.

These 1979 episodes ran one hour.

These early shows were not produced by Carleton Productions but, rather, CJOH Productions. The opening animation is completely different from the 1981 and the 1982-90 intros. It features the Parliament Buildings instead of "The Children's Television Sausage Factory". These episodes featured disco dancing by local kids. The background for the dances looked similar to the link set and was full of metallic paper and disco lights.

More great prize giveaways.

The sketch in the dungeon where Jono gets a present: On the first take, Let could not get the package open, the package was taped up so well. This take where Les could not get the package open is on the bloopers reel.

Ross the floor director weasels a hundred bucks out of Kevin Somers. Ross was always tricking the kids out of their money. hehe

Kevin Schenk tells Jim Unger and John LeTour, the winner of the cartoon caption contest, that he would like to be a cartoonist when he grows up, and Kevin did become a graphical artist. Kevin Schenk recounts that he got in trouble for drawing cartoons on his copy of the show script. I wish I had that script!

On the Link Set, Christine introduces Todd Davies who is the officail walker (sponsored by the show and it's viewers) for the 50 km walk. Christine say to him, "And I thought I was short!" hehe
As the credits roll, Todd Davies and the kids are outside. Todd is teaching them how to walk. hehe

One of the funniest thing I ever seen on the show and it was cut from the network version. In the dungeon sketch with Ruth chained to the wall they were having 'The Peski Cola Challenge against Coke. Nasti (this character was later to become known as Nasti) asked which soda do you prefer? Ruth says she likes Coke so Nasti pulls the lever and Ruth screams and says I mean Peski, I like Peski. Then Les looks at the camera and says 'part two' and pulls the lever again and Ruth screams again. Then Nasti says rapidly, "If it takes one chicken, one and a half days to make two and a half eggs, how long did it take a monkey with a wooden leg to kick all the seeds out of a grape fruit, WRONG!" and he pulls the lever again and Ruth screams. Then Nasti says, "It's my turn."

Ross and Kevin Sommers do the special hand shake behind the scenes in Studio D. At the end Ross says, "I think I got it!"

There were no waterings in this episode. However, Dad (Les) said 'I don't know' in a Living Room Sketch and he didn't get slimed.

Performances include Johnny Rivers - "Slow Dancin' (Swayin' to the Music)", Kiss - "Love 'Em or Leave 'Em", and KC and the Sunshine Band - "Do You Feel All Right".
